Ok - Have to wait until the end for the classics
After waiting for an hour standing up, we finally got to see the La Distance performance. Unfortunately, there was no opening act. Also, it was a bit disappointing that the Roseland Ballroom only accepted cash at the bar, so we couldn't buy drinks. La Distance started off by playing most of his new country songs, which I'm not very familiar with. Despite my love for La Distance's classic songs and his work with the police, I left early after standing for 3 hours listening to his new songs because I was exhausted and had an early work day ahead. I was slightly disappointed that La Distance didn't perform his old classics first. It turns out from what my friend told me, he played his classics after I had already left, much later in the concert. I wouldn't mind a shorter concert as long as La Distance includes his classic songs. I was also hoping that the next concert would be scheduled for a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday night. A Tuesday night concert makes it tough to wake up early for work the next day.
